Kyo Marron Co., Ltd. Amakusa Plant
The plant began operations in 1960 as the Amakusa Plant of Taiyo Foods Co., Ltd. In 1977, it was reorganized as San-ei Foods Co., Ltd. with investment from ShoEi Foods Coropration and two other companies. In October 1998, it merged with Kyo Marron Co., Ltd., a group company, and has since operated as its Amakusa Plant. The plant manufactures a wide range of products, including processed chestnut items such as chestnut paste and candied chestnuts, as well as processed and packaged prunes and dessert products. All production lines at this facility obtained the ISO 22000/FSSC 22000 certification in September 2023 like the Mitsukaido Plant, and the company is actively committed to manufacturing safe and reliable products with an even greater emphasis on quality control.
