Cashew Nuts

A plant of the Anacardiaceae family's anacardium species and originating from northeastern Brazil, cashews are now mainly produced in and exported from India. The fruit contains sweet, sour and bitter juice, and with an apple-like aroma, they are called cashew apples. The fruit that hangs from the end, enveloped in hard shells, is the cashew nut.
